Washakie County School District #2
Ten Sleep School

Washakie County School District #2 supports one PreK - 12 school located in the small ranching community of Ten Sleep and is one of the smallest districts in the state. Ten Sleep is a small resort town located at the base of the Big Horn Mountains. The school is the focus of the community hosting educational, cultural, community, and other events. Our area is rich in activities; hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, skiing, boating, snowmobiling, and atv trails.

Washakie County School District #2 provides a rigorous, modern education to all of its students, boasting very small class sizes, up-to-date technology, and a staff dedicated to meeting the needs of all students. The elementary level has multi-grade classrooms for second/third grade and for fourth/fifth grade. Kindergarten, first, and sixth grades each have separate classrooms. Art, Music, and P.E. teachers are shared between elementary, middle school, and high school. All grades are located in a single building. The district shares a library with the community in a building located across from the school.

The district’s students consistently score high in both state and national tests. Ten Sleep middle school and high school students are involved in many extra-curricular activities.   The district offers Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Track, FFA, NHS, and Student Council. The district also partners with Washakie County School District #1 in cross country, soccer, swimming, and wrestling. Many students are avid rodeo athletes and participate in the Wyoming High School Rodeo Association.
