Meeting Notes:  January 31, 2024

*Confirmed for participation in CSO candy cup delivery for February 14.

*Service activities were discussed. Our favorite one might be "painting the T"

*Leadership opportunities were discussed. Izzy, Grace, and Yoshi were tasked with creating a big/little activity for the upcoming month!

 

 

National Honor Society:

Our current projects: school wide recycling, CSO candy cup delivery, CSO book fair set-up and take-down, and BINGO for books night. 

Love and Logic Child care support

Our February Random Acts of Kindness was a pen pal activity between the "bigs and littles".

 

 

 

**For acceptance into Honor Society, it is highly recommended that students volunteer for after school tutoring.

Club Activities Include:

*School wide recycle project

*After School PEER Tutoring

*Volunteer during Harvest Dinner- Fall: October

*One fundraiser per year-

*Other volunteer activities

*Community Recycle Drive: first Saturday of every month

 

Upon applying, students need to have previously acquired a minimum of 10 hours of community service.

The faculty committee may at any time request further verification or re-writes in an effort to help support the students' best intentions. Often, the faculty committee requests further verification or details for service and leadership activities. 

The initial application does not REQUIRE letters of reference, however, the faculty committee reserves the right to request such verification. NHS is a prestigious honor. For the integrity of the program, applicants need to be transparent and true to their involvement.
