My passion for literature began early in life. As a child, I was a voracious reader, and in my twenties, I developed a love for creative writing. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and later completed a Master’s in Literature and Creative Writing at Loyola Marymount.

In my classroom, I strive to balance academic rigor with creative projects, ensuring that students are both engaged and challenged as they develop their English Language Arts skills in reading, writing, listening, speaking, viewing, and producing texts.

Raising a family in Ten Sleep has been a great joy, and being a part of this community for the last twenty years has been deeply rewarding. My two children are proud Pioneers, which has allowed me to stay closely involved with our school for the past seventeen years. Teaching is both a challenge and a privilege, and I am continually grateful for the opportunity to inspire and learn alongside my students.
