🌵Welcome to 2nd/3rd Grade!

My name is Nikki Erickson and I have been working at Washakie County School District #2 since September 2006. I was a substitute teacher for three years, and a paraeducator in the combined 5th/6th grade class for three years (and the 2011 Wyoming ParaEducator of the Year). I started teaching elementary classes in August 2012 and have taught a range of grades since then including 2nd/3rd combined, 3rd grade, 3rd/4th combined, 4th grade, 5th/6th combined, and 6th grade! Whew! I've tried most grades and really love the second and third grade combination!

I have a Bachelor's of Science in Pyschology from the University of Wyoming and then earned an Elementary Teaching Certification through Regis University in Denver, Colorado. I LOVE EDUCATION and am very excited about the 2024-25 school year! We will be focusing on literacy and math, and add to our knowledge base with so many fun topics in science and social studies, too!

I love our little school (well, not so little anymore....the new building is big and beautiful), the staff, and students here. It is unlike any other school anywhere! We are a close-knit community of learning! And I am super excited for another fun year with the second and third graders this year!
