I have had the privilege of teaching in this district since 1998. I received my teaching degree from Montana State University-Billings. I am a father of 7 amazing children that range in ages from 21 years old to a 17 month old. I love being a father and husband and teacher.
Teaching isn't my only passion, I love to coach! I have coached Basketball and Track during my tenure here. I have coached middle school and high school basketball, both the girls and boys, and I have had the privilege of coaching middle school track twice. I started a soccer program here as well and that program is still in operation and continues to give tiny little Ten Sleep a reputation for toughness and style. :)
My true desire is to be in the classroom. I started out teaching 6th graders for my first 11 years and then switched to a combined 1st/2nd grade classroom. What a shock to the system that was, but it was super fun! I then taught a combined 2nd/3rd grade classroom for 5 years and now I am back to teaching the 6th graders once again. As you can see I have endured many changes and all of those have taught me some valuable lessons. The best lesson learned is to be FLEXIBLE! You just never know in a small little district what you'll be asked to do.
