This course is designed to lay the foundations of Language Arts. Basics will include spelling and grammar, research, source citation, reading, writing and speaking. Standards are aligned in a reading/discussion format using prompts designed to specifically address standards, followed by a writing/multimedia project. The project addresses presentation standards and acts as an assessment of critical thinking skills, organization, and responsibility. Literature is gathered from multiple sources, and writing is varied for style and grade level.
